The License Plate game can help kids learn license plates, state capitals, and state abbreviations. To play the game players turn all license plates face up on the board and watch the road for license plates. Whatever player sees a license plate first will say the state name and turn the plate over to red or blue depending on which color they have chosen to be. For an added challenge, players can require the state capital be named or the state abbreviation before the plate is turned over. The License Plate game, like the other Melissa & Doug Travel games, has all of the game pieces permanently attached to the game board to keep pieces from being lost.
